Westport Beat - Dancing in the Streets - Westport’s been getting its groove on lately and The Beat couldn’t be happier to see this great little town on the rise. While the Levitt Pavilion, Westport Country Playhouse, and Westport Arts Center, along with a handful of great restaurants like Tavern on Main and Da Pietro, have held the fort here for many years, somehow it always felt like the invitation for non-residents to be part of it all was lost in the mail. Now, with two successful Westport Restaurant Weeks under their collective belt, the Blues, Views and BBQ Festival heading into year three, and Mario Batali slipping into town, there’s a new message coming out of Westport: come one, come all.
